Emma joined Cascade in 2017 from another communications consultancy advising property clients on community engagement. Prior to this, Emma worked for Sainsbury’s for 15 years as part of the Property Communications team.
At Sainsbury’s Emma worked closely with the public affairs, planning, corporate press, marketing, retail and property teams to implement strategies for public affairs and community engagement for the planning and construction for new convenience stores.
Turning local opinion on the Barnes Sainsbury’s Local in London, which had attracted huge local objection from a well organised community group of over 4,000 people, local celebrities and the then local parliamentary candidate, by actively engaging with objectors, residents and local businesses.
