Three out of Three Planning Approvals in Wandsworth

APPROVAL FOR THE RCA'S NEW BATTERSEA SOUTH CAMPUS

The Royal College of Art gained approval for amendments to their new Research Building which was unanimously approved in January. The Research Building is an integral component of the new flagship teaching and research facility in Battersea and will house new research centres and start-up businesses as part of the College's expanded InnovationRCA incubator programme. The development will enable the RCA to continue to nurture creative entrepreneurs in areas from housing to green design and architecture.

94 AFFORDABLE AND EXTRA CARE HOMES APPROVED IN ROEHAMPTON

Plans by housing association, Optivo, gained unanimous approval for their flagship redevelopment of Pocklington Court, Alton Road which borders Richmond Park.

Cascade worked with key stakeholders to promote the benefits of the project, which offers 100% affordable homes, showcasing the scheme‚Äôs extra care units, outstanding new public realm and high quality architecture. 

 CONSENT FOR SPRINGFIELD PARK

Detailed plans for Springfield Park including public realm and roads around the Springfield University Hospital site were given the go ahead last night. The Park Strategy was approved in 2015 and was informed by over 80 hours of direct engagement and 1,900 responses from stakeholders, local community groups, service users and residents. The plans will deliver the first new public park in London since the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park was completed in 2012.

This is an exciting step forward for the delivery of the Springfield masterplan as a part of the wider Estates Modernisation Programme. Cascade will continue to work with South West London & St George's Mental Health NHS Trust and STEP on this major project.
