OUR MD and Founder Emma Waterfall shares exciting news about Cascade!

It is a decade on since I started Cascade from my front room and then a borrowed desk at Assael Architects with a laptop and mobile phone. When I set up, I didn’t have an official game-plan. All I knew was that I wanted to work with fantastic clients and consultants, on great and challenging projects. Beyond that, I hadn’t thought too deeply.

While we hadn’t anticipated starting our tenth year facing the pandemic, I am excited and positive about the opportunities this year will bring.

I count myself lucky that the client relationships I had built up over the previous years were so strong and that clients are, for the most part(!), loyal. The first client to sign up was Battersea Power Station. In the early years, our portfolio included 200 metre residential towers in Zone 1, saving the skatepark in the undercroft of London’s Southbank Centre, blowing up cooling towers at a former coal-fired power station in Kent, a new home for a religious world leader and a grassroots campaign to “stop the sewer”! Mission accomplished as far as great and challenging projects, alongside inspiring clients and consultants.

It is on this foundation that Cascade continues today but with one difference. We have grown our team and with it our expertise, reach and outlook. Our connections now reach nationwide advising the likes of Sainsbury’s and Aldi, and our successes include major town centre regeneration projects such as Nicholson’s Quarter in Maidenhead, heritage projects such as Lambeth Palace Library, HQ buildings for Harrods and ITV, school expansion programmes for The Girls’ Day School Trust and numerous residential-led projects for housebuilders including London Square, Countryside, Barratt, Berkeley Homes and Regal London, and Build to Rent operators such as Greystar and Connected Living London.

We have become an adaptable and innovative business, still focused on delivering results for our clients but also comfortable developing and showing our personality. As we shaped our new brand and website, we wanted to showcase our confidence, which has been gained through knowing we have a track record that is second to none, delivering grassroots community campaigns through to helping shape government policy.

Asked what the future holds, and the answer is simple; personalised client-focused service, offering specialist expertise, delivered by an intelligent, well-connected, and energetic team. One of our core values is ensuring we build genuine relationships not only with our clients, but also the property industry and the local communities we engage with daily.

Take a look at our new website, meet our growing team and let us know what you think.”
