Client Manager

An opportunity to take ownership, deliver impact and grow within a leading property communications consultancy

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a specialist consultancy working at the heart of the built environment. We advise clients across property, development, planning and construction, delivering strategic communications, stakeholder engagement, consultation and campaigns.

What we are looking for

We are looking for a Client Manager who can operate with confidence from day one. This is a role for someone who already has experience, understands how to work with clients and is ready to take ownership of projects and relationships, while continuing to develop across a broad range of disciplines.

You will be part of an ambitious, intelligent team delivering high quality work across the UK. We work on complex, high-profile projects and expect people to bring initiative, sound judgement and the ability to make things happen. In return, you will gain exposure to a wide range of work and the opportunity to progress quickly based on your impact.

This role is not about a single specialism. We are looking for someone comfortable working across media, corporate communications, public affairs, stakeholder engagement and consultation, and who is open to developing across all these areas.

What you will be doing
  • Day-to-day lead on client accounts and a key point of contact
  • Managing projects independently and ensuring delivery to a high standard
  • Advising clients on strategic communications, reputation management and stakeholder engagement
  • Drafting and delivering media materials including press releases, statements and briefing notes
  • Supporting and delivering consultation and engagement activity as part of the planning process
  • Managing client reputation across a range of channels including media, digital and stakeholder communications
  • Contributing to new business activity and identifying opportunities through networking
  • Working across a mix of disciplines including media, campaigns, digital and public affairs
Essential skills
  • Two to four years’ experience in communications, engagement or a related field, such as media relations, corporate communications, public affairs or consultation
  • Experience of working with clients and confidence managing relationships independently
  • Ability to lead and deliver projects with minimal oversight
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
  • Highly organised and able to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Commercial awareness and an understanding of how to add value to clients
  • Ability to demonstrate the impact you have had on projects or for clients, showing clear outcomes and contribution
  • Experience across media, digital and engagement, including using social media and campaigns to support delivery
  • Awareness of the planning process, local government and the wider built environment
  • Interest in property, communications and or public affairs, with a proactive and adaptable approach
  • Comfortable working in a client facing consultancy environment and contributing to business development
Salary

Salary of £32,000 to £48,000 (dependant on experience) plus benefits.

What you will get

You will be part of a high performing, close knit team working on some of the most interesting projects and with some of the most exciting clients across the built environment in the UK. This is an opportunity to be involved in meaningful, varied work that has real impact, while developing your skills in an ambitious and supportive environment.
