Supporting one of London’s most iconic and exemplar regeneration projects for more than a decade

Objective

Strategic management of political, stakeholder and community engagement, supporting the creation of a new town centre, including the restoration of Battersea Power Station, office space incorporating a new HQ for Apple, many new shops, more than 3,500 homes, 19 acres of public space and a new tube station.

Our Role

We lead engagement on all planning challenges, as well as supporting construction engagement across every phase, running regular community and local leader events, briefing the project’s most important stakeholders and managing the Battersea Power Station Community Forum.

Impact

Supporting Battersea Power Station for more than a decade, on each phase of one of London’s most iconic regeneration projects.

Our strategy has resulted in planning approval for each phase of the current masterplan, as well as Cringle Dock and other significant planning applications.

Stakeholders praised the communications programme during the restoration of the Power Station’s iconic chimneys and our roadshow programme was commended for reaching wide audiences at 55 events across all parts of Wandsworth.

Cascade created a direct partnership between Battersea Power Station and Wandsworth Council in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, helping set up Power to Connect. Through linking up with the Council’s Free School Meals App, there was increased participation to help tackle digital exclusion and support for families struggling to access children’s educational resources.

Cascade has been a key part of the success of Battersea Power Station, providing invaluable political and engagement services.
