Objective

Cascade is retained by Areli Real Estate to provide strategic communications advice on their ambitious regeneration projects helping secure political and local support.

Our Role

Supporting Areli across their portfolio in Maidenhead, Orpington, Brentford, Canary Wharf and Enfield, with a wide-ranging scope including political, stakeholder and community engagement, strategic counsel, media relations, digital and social media.

Cascade recently advised on political stakeholder engagement during the planning stages of Areli’s Maidenhead town centre redevelopment, generating extensive media coverage including a feature in The Times, labelling the project the UK’s first shopping centre to town centre proposal.   

Impact

Areli’s Maidenhead proposals, which include revitalising shops in the town centre, a new public square, affordable workspace, new homes and an office building, were unanimously approved by RB Windsor & Maidenhead in March 2021.

Collectively Areli’s Maidenhead and Orpington proposals (which are currently being consulted on) have so far corresponded with 68,500 households and held more than 3,500 conversations over 200 hours. Orpington’s Planning Application is being finalised ready for submission.
