Objective
To deliver strategic advice and all aspects of community, political and stakeholder engagement, supporting the redevelopment of Holland House, an empty office building on Oxford Road in Bournemouth. The proposals were for 487 new homes for rent including a resident’s gym, commercial space, accessible public realm and landscaping, servicing and car parking.
Our role
Cascade led the communications and strategy advising the team on political, community and stakeholder engagement taking the scheme from initial public consultation through to committee approval.
Impact
Our work on the project ensured that councillors, local businesses and community groups understood the scheme’s benefits, which resulted in little objection to the proposals and an almost unanimous vote to approve the scheme at committee in late 2023.
