Objective
Cascade oversaw media and corporate communications for W.RE, London-focused commercial property specialists, raising their profile and activities with the property industry, investors and stakeholders; positioning W.RE projects as visionary industry leaders for schemes on the High Street and the Office.
Our Role
An early win for Cascade was advising on the redevelopment of the historic Arding & Hobbs at Clapham Junction – South London’s first department store. Plans were approved unanimously by LB Wandsworth following extensive engagement. This work was shortlisted for a 2021 Planning Award for Stakeholder Engagement in Planning, and recognised as one of the largest responses to pre-application consultation ever received. Several trade publications covered this particular story and the case study was one of the centrepieces of a major report by the NLA on the future of the office.
Impact
The volume of industry press coverage over their iconic developments, not just Arding and Hobbs, means W.RE and specifically CEO Sascha Lewin is often sought out for commentary by trade publications and is a regular speaker on industry panel events.
W.RE fully understands that cultural and architectural sensitivity is key to this redevelopment and has listened closely to the voices of the local business and residential community throughout the consultation process.
